Another quick weekend trip to the Sunny Side in the new adventure vehicle. Up to Navajo Peak! This hike was long and gradual through meadows and forrest, then all of the sudden it was as if we were hiking on the moon. After moon hiking we walked up to a ridge with an breathtaking view of the back side of the Enchantments. We soaked in the view for a few "OMG's" and then went straight up to the top another 1000 ft to perch on the summit. This was a HOT hike, but we cooled down afterwards by kayaking on Cooper Lake, setting up a picnic spot and napping and reading before returning home.
